Corporate Social Responsibility

We recognise our responsibility to our people, the environment and the community in which we work.  We work hard to manage our carbon footprint and integrate social responsibility into everything we do.

Our People

We aim to provide a great place to work through a commitment to provide excellent working conditions and facilities and to manage the development and wellbeing of our staff.

We encourage our staff to assist and participate in our social responsibility.  Many of them give up their free time to help and to raise money for charities and voluntary organisations.  We value the commitment, time and energy that this involves and recognise and reward their efforts by matching any money an individual or group of employees raise.

Our Environment

We seek to achieve excellence in every aspect of our business and are committed to minimising the environmental impact of our business operations wherever we can.

We have made some significant improvements to date and are committed to continuing to improve our environmental performance and to encouraging all our staff and clients to take all practical steps to reduce our environmental footprint.

Our Community

We have supported a wide variety of good causes for many years.  Every year we organise what has become known as the Wollastons Race for Business in Chelmsford.  This event attracts over 2000 runners each year and has raised £315,000 for charity since it commenced in 1998.

A number of Partners and Senior Staff act voluntarily as Trustees of various local charities and as governors of schools, and participate in other voluntary commitments.  We are in the process of creating our own Charitable Foundation and we encourage all our staff to take part in charitable initiatives throughout the year.  In 2009 some members of our staff participated in the Farleigh Hospice Cycle for Life around the Rodings, the Royal Parks half marathon, the Great North Run, the Brentwood and Bath half marathons and the National Dragon Boat Race in Docklands, all to raise money for various charities.
