We plan to take on two or more trainee solicitors annually and we welcome applications from bright and enthusiastic candidates at any time.
As a trainee, you will have four seats, each for six months, normally including at least three of the following: company and commercial; commercial disputes; commercial property and employment.
You will sit with a partner or a senior solicitor and your daily working life will be spent as an integral part of his or her team. Trainees are fully involved from the outset in a wide range of interesting work and, although your work will be closely checked and supervised, you will be encouraged to take responsibility from an early stage.
The firm is very friendly and informal and trainees receive a great deal of individual attention and support. Your progress will be kept under constant review and you will be formally appraised at the end of each six month period.
We seek able and ambitious candidates with 300 UCAS points, (gained
in 3 subjects, excluding general studies) and a 2:1 degree, not
necessarily in law, from a well regarded university. Candidates should
be outgoing, confident and robust. Successful candidates will normally
have interests outside the law and show an aptitude for taking responsibility
and getting things done. Computer literacy is essential.
We are now recruiting for September 2010.
Salary levels are comparable with those of other leading regional
firms.
